Romania is one of the most pleasant countries in Eastern Europe, with great natural beauty including the famous Transylvania region. Unfortunately, TESOL salaries are not very high and living costs are surprisingly high. You may need to share accommodation with another teacher. As per usual, it is difficult for non-EU nationals to find work here due to legal regulations (unless they happen to be married to a local person!) However, there is growing demand for classes with native speakers.
